American pianist CHRISTINE WU has performed in concert venues throughout North America and Europe, in venues including Lincoln Center and Merkin Hall, (New York), the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater (Washington D.C.), Benaroya Hall (Seattle), Teatro San Rocco (Seregno), Petit Palau de la
Música Catalana (Barcelona) and Théâtre du Châtelet (Paris).
Praised in the New York Times by chief music critic Anthony Tommasini for her “arresting” playing, Christine’s performance of Oliver Knussen’s Variations (1989) was described as “one of the highlights of the program” at Tanglewood’s Festival of Contemporary Music. Christine has received recognition in international competitions including the Ettore Pozzoli International Piano Competition,
Chautauqua Institute Piano Competition, Washington International Competition, American International Paderewski Piano Competition, and Oneppo Chamber Music Competition.

Christine has performed as a solo and chamber musician in music festivals including the Tanglewood Music Center, Chautauqua Institute, Leipzig International Mendelssohn-Akademie, Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, Aspen, PianoTexas, and Bowdoin International Music Festivals. Upcoming projects include a debut album to be produced by the Sheva Collection Label, featuring works by
Schubert, Liszt, and Schumann, as well as a second album by Blue Griffin Recordings.

Born and raised in Troy, Michigan, Christine’s formative training began with Logan Skelton. She received both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Juilliard School, where her principal teachers included Julian Martin, Choong-Mo Kang, and Hung-Kuan Chen. Currently, she is a
doctoral candidate at the Yale School of Music, where her teachers have included Peter Frankl, Christopher Elton and Peter Serkin. Christine is currently based in New York City.
