Miyuko Wahr

Violin

Miyuko Wahr was born in 1995 in Freiburg in Breisgau and had her first violin lesson at the age of three. In 2005 she was accepted in the Pre-College division at the „Musikhochschule Freiburg“ and studied with Prof. Honda-Rosenberg. 2009 she followed Prof. Honda-Rosenberg to the „Universität der Künste" to continue her Pre-College studies at the Julius-Stern-Institute in Berlin.

 

Since 2014 she is studying her Bachelor in Berlin with Prof. Mo Yi. Besides she worked with Stephan Picard, Ingolf Turban, Eszter Haffner and Philippe Graffin in Masterclasses.


Miyuko won several prizes in „Jugend Musiziert“ as a soloist, as a chamber musician and in the category „Contemporary Music“. In 2015 was the year she won the first prize in the RAMA string competition and the following year she won third prize in the International Music Competition Stockholm.


Over the years Miyuko took part in many orchestra and chamber music projects such as the 2015 Mahler Academy and took part also in the 2016 summer tour of the Orkester Norden. Since 2016 she is a member of Ensemble Esperanza and has a scholarship from the „Musikakademie Liechtenstein“.
